How Kinso works with Google
Kinso is a unified inbox and AI assistant that brings your emails, messages, contacts and calendars into one smart workspace.
To deliver this experience, Kinso connects to your Google account with your explicit permission. Here's exactly what we access and why.
What Google data Kinso accesses and why
Gmail Kinso accesses your Gmail messages (using Gmail read-only and send scopes) so they appear alongside your other conversations in one unified inbox. This powers smart prioritisation, universal search, AI-drafted replies, and your morning briefing; a daily summary of your most important messages and action items. When you choose to reply through Kinso, we use the Gmail send scope to deliver messages on your behalf.
Google Contacts Kinso accesses your Google Contacts (using the Contacts read-only scope) so you have a single, searchable view of the people you communicate with across every channel.
Kinso only requests the minimum scopes necessary to deliver these features. We do not request write or delete access to your Calendar or Contacts.
Kinso does not use your Google data to serve you advertisements, including personalised, retargeted, or interest-based advertising. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes. AI models process your data only within your account to power the features described above.
Your data is never used to train external models.
Google API Services User Data Policy compliance
Kinso's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
Kinso only uses your Google data to provide and improve the user-facing features described on this page.
Kinso only transfers your Google data to third parties when necessary to provide or improve these features, with your consent, or for security and legal compliance purposes.
Kinso does not allow humans to read your Google data unless you have given explicit consent (for example, when contacting support about a specific message), it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required by law.
Kinso does not use your Google data to serve advertisements.
Kinso caches your Google data for only as long as needed to deliver the features above. You can disconnect your Google account from Kinso at any time. When you do, Kinso stops accessing your data and deletes all cached Google data from our systems. You can also revoke Kinso's access at any time through your Google Account permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
